Hungarian goulash

Another suggestion from the boyf’s son. I have the feeling that goulash is really out of fashion and I went through all my Jamie, Nigella and Nigel books for it, to no avail.  I knew Delia would come good for me and so she did in her Complete Cookery Course.  Rather than do it it in oven though I put this in the slow cooker. And I ignored her advice to serve with rice and instead dumped it it a bread bowl.  It was absolutely fantastic!  The flavour was gorgeous- I can’t believe I’ve not made this before,  but I’ll definitely be making it again.
